I recently got an oem audigy 2 value sound card and there was no cd to install the drivers. I looked on the creative site, and they don't have the drivers for the audigy 2 value, just an update to the drivers. I can't find any base drivers for the card. Plz help, thx.

nah, one of those 'updates' should work. Try the earliest one.

i checked, there is only 1 driver for the "value" and it requires the drivers from the CD. YOu can use the earliest one on the normal audigy 2zs, but not on this type it appears.

On driverguide.com, there are drivers for audigy 2 value.
You'll need to register first, which is free.
Then search for: "audigy 2 value".
Look for "Audigy2ValueDrivers.rar".
About 12,4 MBs.

dont bother looking on creative's site or elsewhere.

Other option would be someone packs the value CD together and ups thw whole CD somewhere.

I also once thought i didnt have that CD...but luck me i was wrong and found it :) The point is i contacted creative support on their forum and had emails back and forth....those people would NOT give out a link for drivers or the CD or anything.

If i need drivers and ask them....what's the frikkin big deal they tell me where to get them ? As said..dont even bother with creative and get the drivers from the above site.

You could try using Creative's autoupdate feature from their support menu. I just installed an early release of the Audigy ZS last night and couldn't find the drivers on their site... but using their autoupdate did the trick. Just make sure you reboot after each update and then run it again. Keep doing this until it doesn't find any more updates for you.
