Driver won't install

i have a ati radeon 7000, and the driver i got doesn't install, i've went to ati.com and try to download one but still they don't work
is it becuase my OS (windows xp) or something esle and also wen i start up my computer it restarts after like 1 minute

 
Do you have norton antivirus or any antivirus program ? If your computer is rebooting on its normally thats a virus or worm. You can get a fix tool to remove from www.symantec.com. you should be able to update video driver after uninstalling from add/remove ati driver. www.jv16.org is good program to remove all remains of application from registry. You will need to remove virus if found by booting to safe mode then use fix tool. You can also try using vga driver then do an update with newest ATI driver.
