DECEMBER 30--Meet Marguerite Engle. The South Dakota woman recorded a mind-boggling .708 blood alcohol content after being arrested earlier this month when a state trooper found her passed out behind the wheel of a stolen truck. But while Engle, 45, was nearly nine times over the state's .08 legal limit, she fell just short of the U.S intoxication record. That mark was set last year by an Oregon woman--also found comatose behind the wheel--who registered a .72 BAC. Engle's whopping BAC was measured by a Rapid City Police Department chemist who tested a blood sample drawn from Engle (a copy of a court affidavit sworn by chemist Jessica Lichty can be found here).

Holy crap. The guy that hit me last summer was passed out at the time and had a .23 BAC. .708 is unfathomable!

You know I just thought of something. Whats from stopping someone from framing another person you hate who passes out at a party and sticking them in a parked car and calling the cops? Man you could really screw someone over.

You'd have to have the keys to said vehicle because I'm pretty sure that factors into the equation if the cops find you. Still, completely possible if you know who's car it is or something...

Holy crap....my wife has seen A LOT of tox reports come through her hospital ED's and the highest she's ever seen was a .43

But .7

Her liver must feel like a bag of rocks. Yikes!

Chronic alchies can achieve some truly remarkable BAC's due to their increased tolerance. Clearly this abount of booze would kill any normal person.

I really don't know. One of the most hardcore alcholics my wife ever had to dose for was about 120 pounds. She'd drink a 1.75l bottle of vodka a day and her recorded BAC at the time of admission was "only" around .4

I can't fathom what it would take to get you up to .7

I knew an alcoholic couple once. The guy was fairly chubby, but the chick was thin as hell; I'd say no more than 120#. They'd go through 3 cases of beer a day between the 2 of them, and more on special occasions.

Basically, take a Texas Mickey of Everclear and put it into a do it yourself enema kit, squirt its entire contents up your ass and be prepared.

More. At least two 750ml bottles of 80 proof stuff. Depends on a lot of a factors, but the average human raises their BAC by 0.02 per glass of beer/wine or shot. Assuming "average" alcohol content levels of course - Everclear will obviously be much quicker and Peach Schnapps slower.
