This may be a long shot but I thought I'd give it a try.

I have an older Dell C800 laptop. Even with the newest drivers I can't get this game to work. Are there any other drivers similar to detonator drivers that I could possibly try with this card?

Card is ATI Mobility M4 w/32MB RAM.
 
My guess is you're trying to play something new (you didn't say what game!), and this card probably doesn't support DX8.
 
The game is Call of Duty. I realize it's probably just not going to work on the laptop, just wanted to give it a shot.
The game installed DX9.0b without a problem so I think it's just the video card is too old. I just figured it would install and run really bad. I knew I wouldn't be able to turn up the detail all the way.
