Driver for 9700 Radeon or hardware ? Help !!! Can't see anything to run !!!

I just got my new 9700 Radeon, but all of my Icons are black. I tried uninstalling everything (has a 9500), and then re-installing. Did I miss some drivers ? Anybody ever have this problem ?

And what is the clock supposed to be. I am running OC'ed to 182x13.5 and the card says 297/324. Is this correct ??

When I went from a GF3ti200 to a 9700, my Quick Launch icons were mysteriously replaced by other icons for no apparent reason, but once I replaced them they were OK. I ended up reformatting because I could not get GTA3 running. I think you might have been better off NOT uninstalling everything, since I think your 9500 Catalysts would have been fine. I think if your problem persists you will just have to reformat.

As for the clock speeds, your bus speed does not affect the speeds of the core or RAM. They should be 325 mhz and 310 mhz, respectively. I'm not sure if this answers your question (because I'm not sure I get what you are asking).

I get a black screen when I am doing driver changes but not my icons just the desktop is black. After the drivers are in then the desktop goes back to the green I run it at. As for speeds default for the card is 325-310.

I thought that 325/310 was for the pro, I don't have the pro.

Your agp may be o/c'd as well as your fsb.

Try running at stock speeds and see if it clears up.

I thought 275/275 was for non pro, so 297/324 sounds pretty good ? 4504 on 3dmark03 ?

Edit: and I went back to stock speeds. If I change the ICON, then it is fine. Whats up with that ?
