Crazy, but yay for audis. I can only speculate that my A6 is even safer than the A4 :)

Most of those on the Worse Driver Death Rate list end up with younger, more inexperienced drivers. Weird to see a SUV like a Blazer or Montero there - shitty construction?

I believe the phrase "Hold my beer and check this out." may be involved in a number of them. (note that they're the 2 door variants, which are rather long since discontinued)

I speculate roll-over related.

Interesting how G35 is on the low list but the 350Z is on the high list.

Look at the report--The Blazer's vehicle rollover death rate is 134! Nothing else comes close. So I think it's a combo of poor design and bad/dangerous drivers. Thank gods they stopped making this P.O.S.

Interesting that the largest SUV, Ford Excursion, has a very high death rate too, 115. (Whereas the tiny Miata's rate is 65.) The Excursion's single vehicle rate is more than 2x its multi-vehicle rate, which kind of makes sense.

Well, even though they are close brothers (or cousins) their demographical target is quite different each other, I believe. It's like you have a same spec computer, but one uses it for hardcore gaming, while another uses it for encoding. Similar car/hardware, but different use (luxury GT v. performance beast).

Interesting, but as stated above, I would like to see the ages of the drivers in those vehicles. Just from the vehicles you can tell that the most deadly vehicles are most likely down to the young drivers. How many times have you seen a Honda Odyssey barreling down a neighborhood turn at 80?

Yup, that's my answer too. By now the 2-door variants of both the Blazer and the Montero have become so cheap that they are typically driven by young males.

the 2 door blazer was mostly driven by high schoolers. they stopped making 2 door blazers when they changed the name to tahoe.

vastly different drivers. the bottom list are cars that usually have younger, less experienced drivers. the 350Z may draw a somewhat more experienced driver than others on there, but it's also much more powerful than most. the 350z is probably not driven by people with kids, which leaves young single men and empty nesters.

In my experience, the most common new/young driver cars ^^

We don't have many 2wd vehicles up here, but I could easily see that in other parts of the country.

It's interesting in the sense that it shows that you can't simply say that a car is poorly built if it has higher deaths.

Ok, it may interest some but I don't find it interesting ;)

those best and worst lists are pretty retarded without factoring in how many of those cars are on the road.

Wouldn't most cars driven be 2wd?

I don't get it.

Why is the Audi A4/S4 listed as a 4 door car along with Kias, Pontiacs, Saturns and Chryslers yet the BMW 3 listed as a luxury car?

This. Those two vehicles were very prone to rollovers when loss of control occurred. They are narrow, sit up pretty high with a high center of gravity and structurally fairly weak.
