Driver Cleaner Damaged Driver Cache?

I belive using the Cab Cleaner feature of Driver Cleaner has deleted some necessary files that should be in my Driver Cache. The path is:

C:Windows/Driver Cache/i386

When attempting to insatll my Leadtek TV Tuner Card it tells me a couple of the the necessary files are missing from this location. Is there any way to get them back?

I'm using Windows XP Home

For starters go into Device Manager and see if there are any trouble exclamation marks for any of the devices. If so you can tell Win to upgrade drivers. You may have to reinstall your TV Tuner card drivers from the CD that came with it, or get the latest drivers from the manufacturers web site and install those.

If the missing files are standard Windows files, the Windows SFC utility may retrieve them from the Windows install CD.

For description of SFC, click Start, click Help and Support, search for SFC.

To use it:
- Insert the Windows Install CD
- Click Start
- Click Run
- Enter: SFC /SCANNOW
- Respond to prompts

Hope this helps!

This is pissing me off. The freakin XP Home CD is in the drive but the damn prompt keeps asking for it. What gives?

Windows File Protection is not my friend
