Driver Cache in Win2K question

MaxDepth

Diamond Member
This directory in Win2K:

X:\WINNT\Driver Cache\i386

has 60 megs of files, namely driver.cab (51 meg) and SP2.cab (6 meg). While I'm not in need of disk space, I'd like to remove all unneccesary files from the boot partition.

Can I remove these files without Win2K going berserk?

Thanks.

All of that is part of Windows File Protection. (the winnt\system32\dllcache directory is for WFP as well)

Its best you leave the files alone, they where put there for a reason.
