Drive shows in post, but not under "My Computer"

I'm running XP Pro. My C: drive is an IBM 8 gig. My D: drive "Should" be a WD 80 gig (model #WD800). All jumpers are ste correctly. The 80 gig drive shows as drive 1 in the post, and also shows up in the device manager (device manager says the device is working properly and is enabled).

The problem is the 80 gig will NOT show up at all in "My Computer", Explorer, defrag, disk cleanup, etc...

Am I missing something obvious here? Can anyone help?

Go into the logical disk manager in the administrative tools -> computer management.

Might have info for ya there.

 

That seems to work. It saw the drive in the bottom window, but not the top one. Right clicked it and it's now formatting. Thanks!
