Drive rails for SX830

I must be dense because I can't for the life of me figure which way to put this on. Someone please give me a clue! Metal side toward the front or back of drive? Thanks.

The metal clips go toward the front of the drive and kinda stick outwards. Then to insert or release the drive you depress these clips.
