system below. want to use a spare ibm hard drive as an image backup only drive (with drive image pro 4). have been unable to get drive image to work with my cdrw (doesn't allow writing across multiple cdr's). is there a way to force the spare drive letter assignment outside of my raid array assignment? or any tips on getting my cdrw to function?

win me
abit kt7a raid
raid array "0" two ibm gxp 40 gb partitioned as c,d,e,f
spare hard drive (when enabled in bios) pops in as drive d
note: spare drive is set as slave on ide1 or 2 (master reserved for kenwood cdrom & plextor 121032 cdrw)
award bios 6.00PG
abit mobo bios "ZT"

thanks, mike

Okay, install the extra drive and go into device manager and set the drive letter assignments for the drive both to g: and then reboot. that should take care of the problem.
