ok so here it is, i have two dvd burners, both same namebrand, both on the same ide cable(normal righ?), well of course when im using the first dvd drive to install a game or access something or burn something, im using the other drive for other things, well untill recently its been ok.

then this started happening, i was installing a game, and i popped a disk into the other drive and started installing something else at the same time, i'v done it before, so it should be ok. well my computer froze, well i rebooted, thinking oh well, nothing new. i installed on one drive, let that one finish, and started the other one on the other drive, comp froze again....ok maybe its my overclock. broght it down to stock, attempted to install onto the other drive again and froze.

so i thought i'd try this, threw the cd into the first drive and stated installing, it finished fine and i didnt have any problems, so this is the question, while accessing a drive, can/will a bad drive cause a computer to freeze?

My only advice I can think of is to uninstall the Nvidia IDE driver if you have it installed
