Drive designations after installing Windows XP

After installing Windows XP Home (new install), my drive designations are goofy. It lists my hard drive (formatted as NTSF - single partition) as Drive F. It lists the Memory Stick portion of my Sony CD-R with Memory Stick (removable media) as Drive C, my DVD as Drive D, and my CD-R as Drive E. I tried to change the drive designations, but it wouldn?t let me change Drive C (the Memory Stick) stating that it was the boot volume (although it isn?t).

How did this happen and how do I change it? Thanks for all suggestions.

Yeah, I had the same problem. That FAQ really helped. Darn this WinXP, did they make it more user friendly, or more complicated?
