I need to build a new PC for the church and am I little unsure on what I need. Current setup which is a failing PIII has an ATI dual monitor video card (6100LE maybe) and with that they are running dual 17" CRT displays and a projector. When they run the powerpoints what you see on the second monitor is what you see on the screen. The machine needs to be able to create and display the powerpoints and occasionally DVD clips or some other downloaded video. I'm running two LCD monitors at home on a ASUS motherboard (A8N-VM CSM) using the integrated graphics (one VGA, one DVI-D) so I'm wondering if I even need a video card and might just get by with a good motherboard. Or should I be looking for a new AGP board and recycle the ATI card? Most likely going to be running XP Pro. Price of course is a big consideration.

Any suggestions appreciated, THANKS!

Something to consider will be the kind of inputs the projector has.

Do you know what they have? Sounds like VGA for everything.

If they're not doing anything "3D" and the current card works for them, I'd say just keep using it... especially if they know how to use it.
