What are the benefits of it? I always hear you should drink like 6 glasses a day. I'm just curious because lately I've been drinking a lot and I'm wondering what good it'll do me :)

Water is immensely good for the entire body. It helps to clean out the internals of your digestive system/kidneys/etc., it also restores much needed hydration to the body, keeps tissues/skin moisturized and healthy looking, and much more. If it wasn't so good for you then why would the body be made 70-80% of water. :)

6 glasses a day, that's funny!

I remember reading a hydrology study, that recommended this:
Take your current weight, divide that by two. And that is the number of ounces per day to intake.
So I weight 200lbs, divided by two is 100. That's 100 oz./day that I am supposed to intake.

6 glasses X 8 oz. glasses = 48oz. Not enough.

there's water and then there's tripled filtered mountain spring artesian water.
the later will guarantee your skin is re-moisturized and hydroblasted into its
pre-pubescent glory

Man, 50 years ago who would have thought of bottling water and selling it for 2 bucks a bottle? Would have loved to be at the press conference when they unveiled that one..

Advertiser: "Here we are folks..." *pulls back sheets*
Audience: *gasps*
Advertiser: "Yes, it is water, and it will cost you 2 dollars a bottle"
Audience: "So where can I spend my paycheck buying bottled water?"

... Right...

I mean it's great that the stuff is filtered and what not, but really, selling bottled water?

Water is a cheap and easy way to keep you weight down too :)

And as TheVrolok said, it helps keep acne away, keeps you skin soft, and keeps your "pipes" clean :)

I drink between 1 and 1.5 gallons of water a day :)

I don't remember him saying he had 8oz. glasses. At my house and most people's houses, water glasses are 16oz. Juice glasses are the ones that are 8oz.

Drinking 6 glasses of 16oz. water is 96 oz. which for a 200lb person, like you've already stated is very sufficient.

I drink my water in bottles (I just buy a bottle then refill it until I lose it :)) From what the label says, it's 20oz and I drink about 5 bottles a day. Not bad I guess...

Its bad when your pee is yellow..you wanna piss clear :)

In Israel last summer, we were hiking around in the desert...I would drink 4 liters+ a day, and I would still piss yellow...I was like, wtf?!? I drink probably 1/4 of that here, and always piss clear :)

That's also not true. Have you ever taken a GOOD multivitamin? Your urine is going to be a darker color, which is a sign that your system is being flushed and is healthy! You don't want to have clear urine. It isn't necessarily bad for you but having darker is better ;)

I piss clear after a good night of drinking. You know you had a good night when the pee is crystal clear.

actually its a bunch of bull. The cups of water includes water that you get from food.. something ppl don't seem to realize. There is a study now that shows that ppl drinking water even when they are not thirsty actually drops their iq:) its temporary, but still, it means that pissing clear is not good, it means your over doing it. All things in moderation. Healthcentral.com

Eat well, drink when your thirsty, and you'll be fine.

I think if you're pretty active, you need to drink lots of water. Every friday, last quarter, I'd play ultimate frisbee and if I hadn't drunk a lot of water during the week I felt really nasty and had a hard time keeping up pace. Then I started hydrating myself really well for the entire week leading up to the games. Huge difference!
