Hey, why not, it's not stopping the millions of under 21 year olds now from drinking. Might as well lower the drinking age, to allow for more taxes on the alcohol sold, plus, I think the Fed Gov won't give money to states for highway repairs, if the drinking age is under 21.

How do you get more taxes from selling to minors? The beer they drink still comes from distributors and stores, just purchased by someone else or by them from a clerk who doesn't care.

I've never understood the drinking age being 21. The government wouldn't do it to curb driving fatalities - it doesn't stop underage drinking and it only takes profits away from them. In fact, it causes more fatalities because students are afraid of getting in trouble for drinking when they call for help. And honestly, if I can vote on who will be the next president, why can't I have a beer?

I'm fine with it where it is now.

I'd be ok with it too if difference in rights wasn't so hypocritical. I know it is cliche as all hell, but the whole being able to vote and die for your country thing while not being able to drink is crock of shit.

The real question is: If you can't have a beer, why can you vote? Raise the voting age to 21! :D

why would there be more tax? I am assuming the under age drinkers are getting booze from people who bought it on their behalf?

I remember when Hawaii was the last hold out. Even with their small interstate system the money the feds were withholding was just too much. I don't think people in Colorado want to foot the bill.

Theres nothing more in this world that I want more than to have the abilility to legally intoxicate an 18 year old girl.

Hell, I wish they'd lower it even furthe...I mean, 18 is a good limit.

Shouldn't be a drinking age anyway. Government has no business regulating that sort of thing. If there's going to be one though then EVERYTHING should be set to the same year. Either you're an adult at 18 and can do everything, or you aren't. This incremental stuff is bs.

You'd have far fewer instances of binge drinking on college campuses and whatnot if 18-20 year olds could drink normally and legally and didn't instead gorge themselves on it when they can get their hands on it.

Making it 21 is stupid. It's not like 18 year olds don't find a way to get wasted anyways. Where I live, the drinking age is 18 and smoking is 19.

I don't know what the right answer is, but I do think there's a problem in the formula.

18 or 21.

One or the other.......but not both!!

In fact..........dare I say that 16 should be the age for everything??

Driver's License
Legality
Voting
Alcohol

That way when something bad happens........16yr olds are automatically tried as adults!!

I agree with 16 for everything, but I'd make the penalty for DUI more severe too
