agree with this, but I do like most of their beers.

1554 is my fave. It tastes extra special at 14k feet off the tap at A-Basin. :)

Don't think I've tried their "Abbey." Maybe that's closer to a belgie.
:hmm:

I actually had no idea that Chesterfield is relatively low-cal, it has just always been my favorite of the Yuengling lineup.

They just started distributing Chesterfield here in central Florida very recently, so I picked some up. Kind of tastes like I'm drinking someone's farts, not sure I like it ;)

My favorite Yuengling is probably the porter.

I've never seen that in anything other than 16oz bottles. And single bottles at that.

I haven't looked hard, I did only try it recently. Pretty tasty.

Young's DC draft > Young's DC in the nitro can >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Young's DC in bottle. The bottle just does not have the appropriate mouthfeel, IMO, it's a completely different beer.

The best tasting + lowest calorie + highest alcohol content beer I've found is budweiser select. Not great, but it's better than bud light, only 99 calories and still 4.3% alcohol. It's easy to get sucked in by the MGD 64 and bud select 55, but they're only 2.3% alcohol, so you end up drinking twice as much for the same effect anyway.

Yea no shit. The first time I drank MGD 64 I had about 6 or 7 and I couldn't understand why I was drinking them so fast and I couldn't feel a thing. I'd usually be completely trashed after 6 or 7 beers, it was like drinking water. I was pissed, what a ripoff.

I'll checkout budweiser select, although I've never been a fan of Bud, I'm a Miller Lite guy. Oddly enough some of my favorite beer is from Trader Joe's. Haufbrau Bock (or however it's spelled) is really good and it's really high in alcohol content.

It's an excuse for drinking swill.

well the thing is...there's what? 2 companies that do any type of advertising for their several beers?

That's 2 beer makers out of an Industry of many thousand beer makers in the world that advertise over here.

OK, so if I thought it was cool to only drink beer that was advertised, representing some 1% of the Industry, that somehow makes me relevant?

It's funny, this type of uninformed argument has the opposite effect: nothing makes you more niche and "hip" than only supporting 1% of an Industry.

How did you reach that?

I'm fairly sure his argument was, "it's not cool to drink beer that is advertised"

That seems pretty easy to see when his words are "you can only like beer that doesn't have a commercial".

He's saying, if you like a beer that isn't apart of that 1%, ATOT automatically thinks you're special. If you drink beer in the 1%, ATOT dislikes your beer choice and your desire to only drink what is popular.

You have to fight the man, man! Go against the grain! Be a rebel!

YUM.

though I find Kingfisher worthy of much reproach.
The Kingfisher wasn't bad at all. Kind of light and refreshing. The Spaten, unfortunately, had some heat damage. The taste wasn't what it should have been.

I'm heading on vacation on Saturday to a cabin in N. Ga. My wife and I do this same vacation once a year I always look forward to it because of the Ingles grocery stores in the area. Their beer selection is incredible. And I can get Fat Tire there, which I can't seem to find anywhere in Florida.

I'm fairly sure his argument is that ATOT is a bunch of snobs.

new castle is fucking disgusting
brown ales in general are pretty gross. i had a dog fish india brown the other day. first one went down ok, but i could barely finish two. i think it's the barley hops that make it not a session beer.

Haven't had a beer in 2 months. Nobody to drink with since I've moved home for the summer and all my friends stayed at school/are travelling.

I've drank lots of beer, but unless its really good or really bad I don't really remember it, especially when someone recommends it. New Castle reminded me of Red Stripe, just not as bad.
