My friends and I do that all of the time. Scares the hell out of the others on I-70 😀

Die. Idiots like you make my insurance high 🙁

You thought I was serious?

Considering how stupid some people are it wouldn't be a surprise if it was true.

I-70 = Straight highway, especially where I live
😀 = Grinning because it was a joke (I guess 😛 might have been better)

You should have first reponded with "I hope your kidding, right?" instead of asumming that I was serious (considering this is a fun forum and most people on here joke around). Sorry for the confusion. Have a  and a 🙂

Where's the B.S. flag when you need it?
Put your money where your mouth is and provide video proof, then I'll believe you.

how exactly does one drift? i've seen that video and i can't figure it out for the life of me 😕

Need a rear wheel drive car. Go into a turn, hit the throttle so that your back side begins to lose grip, swings out. Turn your front wheels away from the turn and the car kind of "slides" around the turn. Manage your throttle and your countersteering to control the drift. Drift ends when you regain control.

Also, this is such a repost.

Oh yea, the blue car seems to be an early 90's 240 but I'm not sure about the red car? Almost seems like an R32 but then just seems wrong. Thinking an integra, but he'd have to be working his e-brake.

It's a Silvia or a 240sx (notchback) with a front end conversion.

ways to drift

1) before a corner, turn the opposite direction of the corner and then turn in hard, this gives u more mementum into the turn..road racers do this..but in drifitng u do it so much that the backend comes out..known as a pendulum turn, kansei drift, among others
2) in a high speed turn, put in the clutch (keep foot on gas still) for a split second and rleease the clutch..that should be enough to break traction and initiate a drift
3) ebrake to break the rear wheels free in a turn..

there are a lot of ways to initate a drift..it's keeping the drift that's real work...need to keep the wheels pointed where u want to go..but at the same time the car is trying to rotate so u need to give throttle/steering inputs to stabliize the car and keep it from going around, while at the same time giving throttle/steering inputs to not let your tires regain grip and lose the drift...

repeat...
