I thought he did an *okay* job on the Power of 10, but he sounds about as excited as a moose in a cage while doing The Price is Right tonight...

anybody agree here?
 
I don't think he's very good either. He's funny on WHose Line but he just sits there and laughs. But Price is RIght? Man. What were they smoking...

he's completely flat and dry... sucks that we are going to LA in May/June and are getting tickets to at least get in the audience. Told my wife no biggie if we don't, it's not like it's bob barker any longer.

 
Are you implying that he is not horrible on appearance other than game show? That guy is just not funny, him and Kimmel blow chunks.
 
Agreed, he's too silly and goes overboard at the wrong times. Rosie's looking better for that role every second I see him hosting TPIR.

I saw the Opie and Anthony Traveling Virus tour about a year ago and Bob Saget was hilarious... maybe some of it is forced and he is trying too hard to be funny, but it worked at the time

AHV Bob Saget is awful, I hope that is what you're comparing him to

Back to the original topic: Drew Carey sucks and has never been funny... I used to love TPIR but I will never watch it while he hosts

Whoever thought that it would be a good idea for him to host the show needs to spammed with emails to links of pics related to EPIC FAIL

Bob barker did not play a comedian on TPIR. why should Carey come off as funny? the problem Carey has is that he doesnt make for a good salesman like barker does. he seems like he wants the contestants to win too much. barker never had that problem.

Yup, it's some special, and it's back to mornings. I have a feeling that they are seeing if people will watch it as a primetime show.

I've seen Bob Saget live, and all it was to me was potty humor. You are right though, most people don't know the "real" Bob Saget. He's definitely not Mr. Family Matters!
 
Drew Carey has never been very funny. Even on his sit-com it was his surrounding cast who were funny, not him. But like others have said, the problem isn't that he's not funny on TPIR, it's that he comes across very disinterested. He doesn't have charisma like Bob Barker did.

As much as I hate Rosie O'Donnel I bet she could at least bring some energy to the show, which is sorely lacking with Drew Carey.
