Dremels + Me = Danger
I got one for Christmas a long time ago. I played around with it for awhile before I realized it turns at 30k RPM. Schweet!
Well, something posesses me to chuck a Bic pen cap in it. I chucked it on the pocket clip thing, and turned it on. I had a welt on my leg for two weeks.
Then I hooked a big plastic propeller to it. It broke, flew off and stuck in my wall.
Then I used it to spool up this little car I had. You would push it on the floor, and a geared weight would make it go pretty far. When spun up with a Dremel, it would hit actual speeds somewhere around 120+ MPH when it got enough traction. It was fast enough to blast though 1/4" plywood. It was cool, until the flywheel blew apart when I was holding it in my hand. Still have scars.
THEN I decided to make the Dremel run faster. It shorted out and caught on fire. That was the last I ever saw Dremel #1. Dremel # 7 still resides in my basement to this day, cause I kinda grew out of that stage.
