I appologize for my ignorance on this subject.

Is there any free web page editors that will allow me to edit a website created with Dreamweaver MX?
The pages are .htm

Are there any issues using a different editor on a site created by Dreamweaver MX?

The last Editor I used was FrontPage Express. (not installed anymore)
That was a long time ago, and I got it with W98 I think.

Thx for quik reply!

Will Notepad work...? on a .htm NOT .html
(another stupid Q)

I was kinda hoping for something that would load the pages as seen, and allow modifications. (graphics)
(free)

Anyway, good to hear I can use an text editor on a .htm file.

Yeah, notepad will work. I don't know of any graphical HTML editors that are free, but any HTML editor should work, so if you can find a free one, it shouldn't have any problems with files created in dreamweaver.

Just FYI, .htm and .html are the same(well, they should be, there's nothing preventing you from calling just any file .htm if you feel like it).
.htm is the Microsoftified version of .html

Sometimes, depending on what type of pages you're creating, and if you use templates, Dreamweaver might put in proprietary tags... just be on the lookout for any wierd markup in your pages...

I installed the Windows version of NVU.
Very nice looking. I'll be working on it later.

Thanks.
