Hi,

I'm in the process of designing a new website.

My problem is related to fonts.

How can i ensure that the user who views the page will see the same fonts that i have chosen in Dreamweaver4?

I've uploaded a website using D4 before but the font at the other end was Times New Roman, not the original font chosen - which was Arial.

Thanks

theres a way to prompt people to download your font sets for you web page but arial is pretty standard so unless that computer had arial deleted, i dunno what to tell you. verdana, times new roman, and arial are all pretty standard.

I've also got other texts like Architext but i doubt most people have it,

is there a way that the users computer can automatically display that without the viewer having to download the font file.

Thanks

You can specifiy the ftont for a page, like put font=Architext,Aieral, etc.

It will try to use each one going down the list.

The HTML up there is not right, but view source on any major website, they will have 3 or so diff fonts to pick from.

Its true what everybody has said and this would apply to body text. The viewing source HAS to have the font installed thats why it is important to use universally used ones such as arial. The machine you viewed on could not have had this font installed. However, should you wish to have some funky font for a heading you will have to produce that outside of dreamweaver and save as a picture file to import into your dreamweaver work.

Are you sure that you specified Arial, or did you leave it set at "Default"?
