Hey everybody,

I'd like to congratulate our very own Bot2600 (Bob Mills), who now has a Microsoft.com work e-mail address. He did a similar path to what MechBgon (Tom) did. Last December he quit his retail job to go to Technical school, he completed the courses and passed the tests and received his certifications in April. He interviewed at Microsoft last week and starts there on Monday. This is another example of dreams, hard work and dedication do go hand in hand. I have been extremely honored by Bob's visit here for the TV taping and forever grateful to the hard work he did working with Dan C and everyone here on my behalf during the State ordeal.

Thank you Bob and best of luck and success on your new career.

David & Donna McOwen

I likewise congratulate Bob on a job well done.

It takes guts to step out of the 'comfort zone' and reach higher.
Bot2600 is definitely not amongst the timid.

Best of luck to you, you'll do VERY well. 🙂

Congratulations Bob! 😀 Can you tell us what they've got you working on there? Hopefully it's something that draws on your programming aptitude. 🙂

I already told you congrats Bot, but I want to do it again 🙂

You laid out a plan for yourself and followed it to success 🙂 I think everyone here is very very proud of you! 🙂

Oh no not another one passing over to the Dark Side!:Q😉 J/K congrats Bot2600! We've all seen your programming skills put to work with the flexinstaller so I hope they will be utilizing your talents. BTW can we expect a new version of the flexinstaller sometime?

Congratulations Bob!!!! 😀

That's fantastic! 😀 Microsoft needs some excellent programmers! 😀

Now that I know someone working at Microsoft, Bot2600, I hope you don't mind that I emailed you a detailed list of issues that I've found need to be fixed with a few Microsoft products. Could you see that they get to the right person, or even take them on as projects yourself?

Oh, and does your email provider handle 5Meg (plain text) emails?

Just Kidding! 😉😉😉
😀

Again, Congrats! on the new job, it's always great to see hard work and dedication to goals pay off! 😀

Oh, and does your email provider handle 5Meg (plain text) emails?

LOL @ Ray!

Congrats on getting the job at Microsoft Bobt! 😀 Your work, along with Shux, on the Flexinstall was brilliant, and i know a lot of us here really appreciate it! 😀

And, is there an update coming soon? 🙂

Many congrats, and may you enjoy your time there 😀

Garry

Congratulations, Bob!

I wish you great success at your new job.

Oh, and Ray's got part of my list in that 5mb attachment, too... 😉

WTG...are you going to be on the half that writes the code or the half that fixes it? 🙂

Tell Billy Boy that I want that $20 he owes me...

Shouldn't that be "are you going to be on the few that writes the code or on the thousands that fixes it?"? J/K!

Let us know how your new job goes!

Congratulations, Bot/Bob! 🙂 With all the weird/bad stuff that seems to have been happening to people lately, it is nice to hear some good news for a fellow TA member. 🙂

Congratulations in my own behalf (hehe) this is a good oportunity to try to assimilate some of MS unuse (or maluse) PCS. 😉 I wish luck in your future and I really envy you (in a good way), because I'm one of those that are afraid to take the next step and leave the comfort zone, I took 3 MCSE classes and I should have take the tests already, but between a full time work and a part time at night I keep posponing it.

Best regards abd again good luck 🙂

Thanks everyone, your kind words mean alot! I am doing developer support, so I will be helping coders that are having problems using Microsoft developer tools like VB and Sequel and stuff, so it may be awhile before I can get in there and fix some of the bugs in Windows😉

Glad to see you got home and did't get lost!! 🙂

I thoroughly enjoyed getting to know you this weekend! And, I wish you all the best with you new career move! I don't think you will need the luck as you are sharp enough to make it happen!!

No trouble at all getting home, I had your excellent maps! Although David did send me up the wrong road initially, I think it was 255 north, but it was on the map so I worked my way back on track as I headed towards 85😀
