This is likely a referal coupon. Anyone can create these coupons. The max discount off the yearly plan should be 97 dollars, so this guy is pocketing 17 with each referall.

I use dreamhost to host my site, and I'm happy with everything exept the speed with which it loads, sometimes.

To answer your question mr. referral spammer, its EVERYONE's business here. Why? Because if we dont keep this down, it will degrade into every other "hot deal" being a referral from someone instead of a legitimate hot deal, or an ebay auction, or a scam site, or a FREE IPOD or wtf ever. I really really dont want to have to sort through that kinda garbage, so a few minutes of my time to message mods about someone like you helps prevent that and keep AT hot deals forums full of REAL hot deals. Not useless crap like this.

BTW, I use dreamhost and I like it. But I never signed up any referrals or spammed anyone, in fact I left the "who referred you to us" section blank when I signed up.
 
I'm on dreamhost, pretty satisfied.
I got an earlier deal for around 10 bucks for a year, or something along those lines.
Those guys seem to have a good team solving any problems with servers.

No, because I believe thats only for the first year. Whenever a payment is made the referer gets a percentage.

edit: yeah I visited that link above that someone posted that had info on the referral stuff at dreamhost:
