I was digging through some drawers today and I have the Official Sega Dreamcast magazine issue number 0. It's the black one with Sonic on the front and it was issued June 1999. Is this worth anything at all? Or is it just something neat to hold onto?
 
sweet! i dunno if it's worth anything but i'd hold on to it. i still love my dreamcast. you can download all the games on bittorant now. 😉
 
this thread makes me sad 🙁.........such a great system with great games that no one played and the only system i have ever bought on launch day

I have 2 consoles, 8 controlers (4 still in original boxes), keyboards, monitor adapter, network adapter, and every game I could ever find, including half life.

Dreamcast rocks, and forever will rock.
 
I never saw what was wrong with the controller; I've been fine with it to this day. I haven't exactly ever picked up a controller and instantly started orgasming.

I still have my Dreamcast, as well as a ton of Japan-only games that were released. Hell, they are STILL releasing games for Dreamcast in Japan, a new shooter is coming out in a month or two.

Yep.. just give me three controllers, a toilet paper roll, some duct tape, and a dark room, and you won't see me for days!!
 
$1.99 . Oh well, it's much cooler to hold onto and actually check out than give up for that. The cover is amazing "128bit graphics! That Rival Reality!" "56k modem!" for Blazing Fast Online play!

Funny stuff, cracks me up.
 
I still have one too. One I got came with a THPS demo, which I was addicted to for a while.

Great system. First one that really got me into gaming.

Whats so bad about the controller?
 
dreamcast rocks...the best part about it was when i found a torrent for EVERY SINGLE NES game ever made in emulator form made for the dreamcast...wish i still had my dreamcast and that CD.. i'd be rockin the NES and SNES world again. it had like 700 games on it.

I got the system after its prime when all the games were crazy cheap. Had so much fun with it 🙁

I have that. 😛 I have an SNES emulator too but a lot of the games ran too slow.

It really wasn't bad... It was criticized a lot because the wire came out the wrong end, but it really was a good controller - pretty close to an Xbox S controller in shape and position of control devices. N64 controller is definitely worse than Dreamcast controller (and Dualshock is even worse).
