Mileage will always vary but if you've got a minute as you drive by your local store just pop in and look on the clearance end cap. Good luck, it's always a crap shoot because there are lots of *ycoupon ladies that mop up the Target clearance deals so they don't last long.

Anyone know if the old psx controllers will work on the new ps2?

I purchased one of the fishing controllers when it was half price at $17.xx and purchased a second one when they were 75% off. Unfortunately, Target won't give me the price difference, they said I have to return it to get $17.xx credit.
If anyone can't find one for $8 and would be willing to pay $17.xx then you can buy it from me (believe me, I'm not trying to double my money) Otherwise it's going back to Target.

PS1 gamepads will work on PS2 but not as well as PS2 controllers. PS2 controller buttons have degrees of movement, just like joysticks. (i.e. how far down u push the button = however much of a action is performed, jump, acceleration, etc...)

I stopped by Target today and the controller was still $34.99. I even got them to ring it up in the register to see if it was marked down. I'm in Maryland. Could this be a regional mark-down?

It may have just been new packaging by Sega and Target was clearing out the old packaging?. I noticed also that a few of the other Targets in my area have them for $34.
Beats me!
