Just picked up a Dreamcast kit that includes the console with an extra controller, VMU and Crazy Taxi at my local Ohio Sam's Club. These are all packaged in a clear rigid plastic with a orange sticker that reads: Item 428352, $279.97, Subcat 27. The console boxes are the older version, and the 2 kits I bought had consoles manufactured in Japan February 2000. The CSR at the pickup counter said they are selling them at $49.91 to clear them out. She ended up buying one too when she saw what they use to sell for. Granted this could be a totally local deal, I just don't know. If you are looking for one of these before they are all gone, this is a fantastic price.

I don't think Click and Pull lists everything in the stores. Click and Pull did not even have these listed but I know there were still some there when I left.

sams club has always had the best deals on this dreamcast package. I picked up this exact thing there for 149.99 back when 149.99 was the msrp on just the dreamcast console

Anyone know of a super cheap source for VMUs? I know I can get
them from ToysRUs for $10/ea, but it'd be nice to find them cheaper
(or maybe ones that have more onboard storage?)

if i were you i'd stick with the sega brand vmu's. the other ones suck cos they corrupt your files or fail eventually.

they're usually around 9.99 at circuit city, which is a decent deal already.

I picked up the last bundle for $95 at my local Sam's about 11 months ago. I have never seen them again at Sam's. Good luck finding one. :)

Called my Sams, Rt 1, Princeton New Jersey, none. The sales clerk who looked for me said that she hadn't seen them since last Christmas.:(

I went back to the same Sam's tonight to pick up a few more. Might as well make some money on Ebay. Any way there were just two left. One was the same as the first two I had bought and the other kit came with Sonic the Hedgehog but no Extra controller or VMU. I asked the CSR what happened to the others and he told me a guy from a nearby used Video Games store came in and bought the other ten kits.

"I asked the CSR what happened to the others and he told me a guy from a nearby used Video Games store came in and bought the other ten kits"

see, that is what i'm saying when people always crac in folks threads
who really decides how hot a deal is? the preson [edit: person] who is paying the money!
i have come across deals that i didn't know how hot they were till the deal was over (pyro firewire kits for $3.93) and i've been in deals where i was beaten (or beat somebody else) by 3-5 minutes...
thanks for posting

Went by one of my local Sams and they had a beat up box with one controller, no games or VMU, and wanted $106.00 for it. I think I will try after the holidays and see if the manager will regain his senses and maybe sell it to me for $20-$30 after I show him the MSRP.
