Not a bad way to use your $150 MCI. Use the $50 on Shenmue, or some extra controllers or something. Note that it only applies to Sega games and accessories.

Not a bad deal. If you buy your core DC system from Amazon (No sports pack) they will issue you a 50.00 Amazon.com giftcertificate within 2 weeks to comeback and get DC accessories or games. Don't know if you can combine coupons with this, or if any are still valid. With the prices of DC games falling all the time, this could get you the DC console and two (maybe three) games of YOUR choice. Nice find VirtualMike

techb@rg@ins.com says Dec 31 as the expiration date. The difference is if Amazon puts DC in Electronics or Toys. In toys there is a 10.00 off a 75.00 coupon. That coupon expires 12/15

I see what you are thinking, the only flaw would be if they detect the coupon and do not send the 50.00 GC because of it. Remeber it is not automatic, they send it by email within two weeks of your order. Either way you get the original deal or a very Good deal on DC stuff.

the dreamcast is in electronics. so the $50 is valid if you get over $200... what a predicament. PS2 or a $50 dreamcast... but with DC games dropping in price so much and PS2 having nothing over it but the DVD player then its a big choice...

ToysRus B&M store has the same deal in their current circular, so you can go do the deal in person if you don't want to wait for the GC.

Dreamcast is not under electronics. It's under computer & video games, different catergory so the $50 off $200 is no good.

GaryJr: What's the details of the Toys R Us deal? Do they give you the Amazon gift certificate right away or do they mail it to you?

I can verify that the $50 coupon does not work with the Dreamcast. I went all the way through the checkout process with the dreamcast and a $56 dollar cd-rom drive in my cart, tried to enter the coupon, and it wouldn't take it. Doh! There goes my extra $50 of free stuff

Well, I don't have the circular in front of me, it was in the newspaper at work. But, you buy the system from ToysRus, and they give you a $50 GC right then good towards any Sega product in the store from what I remember of the ad.

Ok, I rechecked the circular. It said buy any DC system and get a $50 GC good on your next visit towards the purchase of any video game or Sega product.

Cool deal! Picked it up at Toys R Us B&M last night, but instead of a GF limited to Sega games & accessories they just gave me a normal gift card, good for any item. This happen to anyone else?

the third party controller i owned was made by performance or something like that. it's black and bulbous. the nice things about it were the longer cord and it seemed to fit my hands a little better. the bad things about it were the poor quality of the joystick, and the occasional button malfunctions. the joystick would sometimes malfunction and cause you to only be able to move right. i wouldn't recommend it.

I bought two Dreamcasts at B&M Toys R Us, and got unrestricted $50 gift cards each time. Bought them on different days, and used the first gift card to reduce the price of the second Dreamcast by $50.

Does anyone know what the dates were for this deal at the B&M store? My wife just tried to stop by there as a surprise to pick one up for me but the people at the store told her that they thought that was for last week only.
