Anything to add?

I don't think anybody has anything to add to that... 😉

I would get the tbird higher than 1.1... 🙂

I don't know about the motherboard, but it's probably good. RAM is decent.. but is 3 slots all that mobo has? fill 'er up.. 😉

What's with the Quantum Rushmore? What IS it? 🙂

The K7T Master does have 4 slots, but it only supports 1.5GB. Don't ask me 🙂

The Quantum Rushmore is an ultra-fast hard drive, 100-200 times faster than today's. It's a SSD (solid-state device). Basically, this drive is an array of DIMMs powered by a battery which functions as a hard drive. Speeds of SDRAM, longetivity of a hard drive.

If anyone could get a total price on that I would be really impressed.

And think that Bill Gates could buy about 20 of those with what he makes in a less than an hour.

I cannot think of anything to add, except maybe the SbLive! Platinum instead of that sonic fury, atlhough it is meant to be good, the Platinum would bump the price up just a tads 🙂

I could see using 8 way smp on win2k adv server for home, why not? Im sure it would help with those damn 3d max renderings.

2 more hard drives for RAID 0+1. Do those sound cards support Linux? Also you should add BeOS. What kind of A/V functions do Quadros have? Maybe a Hollywood, or something better. (The Radeon AiW looks sweet) And what're ya thinkin' on the speakers? Promedia's all the way! Oh yeah, this is a dream system, go with big home entertainment system speakers and a dual 12-14" sub. Does SuperDisk take 1.44MBs too? Gotta have 'em 🙂
Last of all, where's your 'dream cooling' for this dream system? Try 4 78Watt Peltiers topped with 2 and 2 daisy chained water blocks? Hell why not 4 independant ones.

Dream on,
Chris

Umm...

The ProMedias take a backseat to the DigiTheatre DTS', IMO. A Quadro is a GeForce (video card) designed to enhance graphics and CAD work. Video cards don't do audio. The SuperDisk is backwards-compatible with 1.44MB floppies.

Yucky, the Sb Live supports DD 5.1 pass-thru from most applications, and that is the only use of all six speakers at the moment
