Well, I've been with the same gear for quite a while for the most part except small things here and there. I decided to make this wish list from newegg because if I can't build it, I can at least dream it.

Obviously, I wouldn't buy this unless I was swimming in money. otherwise I'd go with something much cheaper and more down to earth than this (if I had the money). so again - no flaming / crapping.

This is finals week for me, so I thought maybe it would be something fun to do to keep the spirits high.

http://secure.newegg.com/NewVersion/Wis...D=1499702&WishListTitle=DREAM+COMPUTER

Feel free to make suggestions to add changes to the list.

EDIT: Changed PSU/RAM/LCD/HDDs/Case .

P.S.

if you suggest changes, keep in mind I can only put items from newegg on the wishlist.

Depends on what you want to use the computer for, however if I were to build an uber computer I would atleast have 4+ drives in raid 5.

Would the system actually use that though? (not flaming, I'm curious). I thought most games/programs barely touch 850mb or so of ram....

a 4800+X2, maybe 2gb of the lowest latency/fastest/tighest RAM, 6800UEE SLI (or an x850xt pe i'm not too fussed), nforce4 chipset, at least 600w seasonic psu, maybe 2x300gb maxtors in raid0, with at least two more 300gb maxtors for storage, maybe in a nice quiet antec sonata case, and two 22" CRTs. oh and a full B&W 7.1 surround setup.

my dream (but not crazy crazy) computer atm ;)

Maybe a solid state drive is too much to ask for, so I'll say that I'd like a larger lcd.

That's not the best case for that setup. The perfect case for you would be the new Antec P180, however they haven't started shipping them to dealers yet.

I could make a sweet rig if I really wanted to. Found an awesome vid card today on ZZF with 512-bit DDR3 memory. It's max resolution @ 60 Hz is bigger than your mom!

That is the best case without a doubt.

I would recommend the V-1200 there's a lot more room to work around in.

I would change the following

Either a X800XT PE or maybe Dual 6800 GTs

Dell 24" Widescreen

Logitech Di Novo keyboard

2 200 GB HDs - why? Just because

Better powersupply, Power PC and cooling.

My bad, didn't catch that, fixed now.

And the case is not in the list. The list is for 12 internal 3.5in bays only.
