You said it.....

Of course I said it, Matt. I am a truth seeker. You are a believer. What I seek you think you already know. You have no capacity for self doubt or questioning either of traditionally accepted truth, mores, or customs. You hold tight to everything because you have turned yourself into what you believe; you practice ego identification, the pretense that what you know as truth is what you are and what is good, a delusion you created to mask the fact that you were forced to conform or subject yourself to endless ridicule and torture by your guardians and contemporaries.

For you to question or admit to potential error, the the possibility that you do not understand what you read or see is an anathema. But to know that I don't know anything means that all the bullshit that you believe, I destroyed by self examination and honesty. I lost everything you consider vital to your life. Having faults, having doubts, asking revolutionary questions and considering terrifying realities, these things aren't as hard for me as they are for you. Everything you fear you'll lose, I already did.

So not only did I say it, I can say it and without feeling put down as you would feel. I don't have that thousand tons of ego shit you have to protect.

The take away message seems to be that those that have the more common variant (normal or abnormal is meaningless within the context of genetics) have poorly functioning dopaminergic neurons that leaves them to be unable to experience pleasure to its fullest extent. They are the boring tag-alongs that gravitate towards stronger personalities and never get invited to the good parties. Boring wallflowers without passion or vice; no wonder they get cheated on so much. :p
