Run it higher to increase memory bandwidth.

ex- 3:4 is faster than 1:1

um... i was under the impression that fsb speed and ram speeds were required to go the same speed...


aha! i checked the at faq - ram speeds (although they are marked as pc100, pc133, etc) is not what the ram actually runs it, that is just what it is rated UP to. the actual speed is determined by the bios - through the fsb. so the ram and fsb will run at the same speed.

not necessarily. for slot athlons, for example, the FSB is always 100 DDR, but you can use a 133 memory bus (SDR) for increased performance.
