Man, I'm trying to farm the SSJ transformation on the "Legendary Super Saiyan" parallel quest, but it just refuses to drop 🙁 I use Goku for myself and 2x full power Frieza (fastest group I found for the fight) and just SSJ + Super Kamehameha the living crap out of everyone (that Z-soul that refills Ki after you K.O. someone = overkill for SSJ!). It can only drop if the other Goku goes SSJ after I K.O. Krillin, and that's a low chance to begin with. Then K.O SSJ Goku before he manages to K.O. Frieza 1st form and then hope the SSJ transformation drops...

Ehh, any idea how low a drop change this is? I must have finished this mission a 100 times at least ...

Which transformation is it? I just bought SSJ1 and SSJ2 from the skill vendor.

The one thing I was really upset about was that your hair just turns golden when you go SSJ, it doesn't spike up or anything. This was very disappointing when I made my character with that in mind.

I need to proceed the story some more before I can buy it from the vendor. But I want to play the story as a SSJ 😛

Bummer about the hair ... Got short spiky hair for my toon ... I wonder if we'll ever get SSJ3 or even SSJ4 in a DLC? 🙂 That would be REALLY cool! 😀 Love the hair on a SSJ3 Goku!
 
Budokai 1 and 3 were my favourites. They were great fun. I havn't really played many other DBZ fighting games since them though. I decided to pickup DBZ Xenoverse and i really enjoy it. I've only played about an 30 minutes, but it really does look and feel very DBZ 🙂

I beat Perfect Cell and still don't get it in the vendor... I'm gonna keep trying with the quest, even if I max my char as a result :awe: The game's really fun anyway and it never gets old to see Goku charge a Kamehameha :awe:

It certainly should be there then. It is under Ultimate moves, btw.
 
Well it wasn't at the vendor. So I tried the PQ again and presto - got my SSJ transformation 😀
 
I would like to know if it is possible to set up CPU Vs. CPU matches, is it?

I remember playing a DBZ game I believe it was on the PS2 (not 100% sure, and I don't remember the title). And as far as I can recall we could organize versus matches between characters and merely watch them fight it out in specific maps that we would choose as well.

Just wondering if they brought that (or perhaps a similar) feature to Xenoverse.
 
I regret not giving the Budokai games a try. I remember they only ever had one Dragonball game for Ps1 when the DBZ craze was at it's peak and nobody could ever find it in stores.
 
There actually were two. There was Dragon Ball GT: Final Bout, which was hard to find, but eventually got a reprint. They also had Dragon Ball Z: Ultimate Battle 22, which got horrid reviews. I think I rented that one and thought it terrible. There apparently was another that wasn't released in America.

With Final Bout, we had one Family Video which had it. I asked about buying it a few times, and always got rejected. I wanted to rent it, but it was never there. Eventually, I went in one day, and it was just not on the shelves. It either got sold or the person just never returned it, so they considered it lost.
 
Ah, Final Bout. That was the one. I could scarcely believe the capitalist opportunities that were missed not printing more copies of that game or releasing more of the Japanese games that they just stubbornly refused to port State side while Dragonball was hot. Kind of like Square refusing to do a FF7 sequel when their business is in a slump but even more stupid, as the games were already made.
 
Anyone having problems with the "movie pack"? It says it's installed in my add-ons, but no SSGSSJ Goku wig or Goku / Vegeta clothes to buy in the stores... I deleted the game, re-installed it, did "restore licenses", deactivated / activated the PS4 as primary, tried it with new characters, online, offline... no luck. The stuff is not in my shop 🙁
