Dragon Naturally Speaking Question

Can Dragon transcribe from a digital sound file without actually play it into a microphone? If I have a .wav file, can Dragon work with that without me having to play it out loud?

I've used that program and I don't think it can be done.

Don't forget that you train the program to recognize YOUR speech patterns. Is this .wav file a recording of your voice?

Also playing your .wav file into the Mic may not work either, as the voice recognition software needs a slow, monotone and deliberate type of speech to limit errors.

If this .wav file is of a speech that either you or someone else recorded, I doubt if any speech recognition software could transcibe it with any degree of accuracy. IMHO, speech recognition software is just not advanced enough yet.
