*must resist* I probably can't even get to this for a while, in which case it'll probably be this price (or $30) by the time I play it. Still tempting though...

Hmmm... Keeping my eye on those deals. I expect Bulletstorm at $40 at best, but if it gets down to 30 I may jump. I'm also curious what the headset deal might be as I need one. I'm hoping for at least a wireless one, and would like to see a wireless one that's compatible with the 360 AND PC. The X31 mic isn't natively compatible as a PC mic, but I believe they sell an adapter so that wouldn't be too bad.

Also keep in mind the pre-order and new release deals they have going. So if you planned on buying Crysis 2, LA Noire, Mortal Kombat, Portal 2 or a couple others you can preorder (or buy Crysis 2) and get a $10 (or $20 for Portal 2) credit. Somebody who's gotten credit should confirm but I believe these credits are instant, so you can apply them to any of today's deals. If you plan on getting Crysis 2 anyway, might as well get $10 off something else. With today's deals that could mean DA2 for $30.

The credit is applied to your account when the game ships. So it may work today for Crysis 2 but not the others.

Hmm.. Debating on whether to pick DA2 up or not. I probably won't be able to play it for a few months (going through ME2 and Persona3 Portable right now). Originally was holding out for their omgwtfcollection with all the DLC available that they'll most likely release next year.

:\ Bummer. Still could be good for Crysis 2 buyers then (which may be me). I might buy Crysis 2 and then hope for a good Bulletstorm or headset deal. Not sure if I buy a hard copy that it'll ship in time though. :hmm: Might have to go with the downloadable version.

I'm in this boat for certain. I can wait until all the DLC is prepackaged with the game itself and all the patches come out to make this more enjoyable.

Not only that, but the reviews on this from longtime Bioware and DA:O players are middling to bad, just check out the first review on Amazon, it's a very well done critique. It's a game I highly anticipated because I enjoyed DA:O and DA:A a lot, but the more console RPG it gets, the less I like Bioware.

Shame, really - there's not a lot of good hardcore RPGs anymore. Or are there?

FWIW, I loved Origins, and I don't think I was ripped off paying $50 for DA2. 60 hours and most of the hallmarks you expect from a Bioware title, although not nearly without fault.
