Well I got to say this game is hard, as I've notched it down to easy even with my mage main. I think we're level 9 or so.

I thought It'd be like KOTOR but it's way harder, and so far not as fun.

Well, knowing that a poor choice in the game could leave you without a proper main tank seems to me to be directly relevant to strategy and party mechanics. My end game was twice as hard because of making that choice.

It's also not a major plot spoiler, I'm sorry, I can't see how it is. But whatever, I've given my working strategies, the game is easy, I'm moving on.

Who makes a game where the story line MIGHT actually influence the gameplay? Oh wait this is an RPG. Quit whining.

I finished DA on first run with warrior as my main character, this time I'm playing as mage and yes its a lot easier especially since I 've not died once so far.

Some RPGs seem to be like this ie Risen was an example where playing as mage was easier then warrior/melee class, you do sometimes get a good warrior class balance in RPGs, BG/BG2 had good warrior balance IMHO,I'm not complaining its just what I have seen while playing some RPGs.

I can understand mages are more powerful then warriors in DA etc... but tanking should go to warrior rather then mage, when you only got a mage still standing and tanking better then warrior then there is something wrong .

The only thing that really frustrates me is when my party is low on health and I've been battling a boss and his minions for like 5 minutes or so and I get close to giving them a dirt-nap and the boss pulls some move out of his/her, i.e. Jarvia, ass that turns the table on me.

Jarvia was tough, the traps near the barrels tended to put a real damper on things. But generally speaking, this game is quite easy once you get the hang of it. You need a rock-solid tank character and once you have that, it's pretty much on auto-pilot the rest of the way. I'm playing on Hard this time and using my main character to tank with and it's been an absolute breeze so far. Granted, this is my third play-through but nevertheless, I'll be trying Nightmare next playthrough. I'm desperate for a challenge... although I suppose I could try a party on Hard that doesn't have any tanks, that would be noticeably more difficutly I suppose.
