Looks like it was made for control pad rather than mouse and keyboard
I'll be using a pad :sneaky:
Well now I have to try this out when I get home for sure just to see what all the fuss is about in regards to the PC controls. I still want to finish DA2 before I get too far into this new one, but the curiosity is killing me.
I'm a little surprised the RPS review didn't mention any issues with the controls except for the item highlighting.
Most reviews never do,they automatically give Bioware games 8 or 9/10 and put it forward for "game of year award " ,one reason why I've lost faith in reviews years ago.
I always play RPGs with mouse and keyboard on PC ,I do have a game pad but hoping don't have to use it for this game.
Seems like they are putting PC gaming controls(M&K) at the back of the queue with regards to console gamers, shame really since would of been happy if they just tried to put some real effort into the controls for PC gamers.
Is dragon age keep the only way to customize the story from the first 2 games or can you do it in inquisition? If you start a new game in inquisition without it knowing your choices for the first 2 games will it just randomize those choices? I have a couple different save files from DA:O but think that inquisition would be more interesting if my main character had the baby with Morrigan and I never did that on any playthrough. Still, it might end up that she just had the baby by some other means since I'm guessing it might be important to the story.

Save files do not import into Inquisition/Keep. To keep the world state of Inquisition kind of in line with your save games (or what you remember of them), you have to customize your world state via the Keep. I did it, went through almost all choices, and took me about an hour.
I dont get it. Dont the devs play these games before releasing them. I mean, if you can have a day 1 patch ready, why not just put it in the game? This game, Watchdogs, ACU, all were terrible on release.
btw i found this fix for stuttering. combined with new drivers it really runs cut scenes much better:

You using Mantle API?
Second question for PC gamers using mouse and keyboard I hear it's not as good control wise as previous DA games ,any comment?
While the Keep does not import saves directly, it does pull "most" of your choices from your saves that have been uploaded to bioware. then you can go ahead and make the choices for what where not imported or change them as needed.
played the game last night for a few hours after unlock.
the cutscenes are choppy.
it seems like frame rate limiter was set at 30fps.
Character creation screen is also somewhat choppy on max settings.
PC controls are CRAP.... :\
I think i was spoiled by shadow of mordor in combat controls.
lastly the two handed warrior is so under powered with crap PC controls compared to the mage and bow ranger.
You really need to spam the potions on a warrior as there is no real block.
The skills for warrior are also dismal.
The game really favors being a Mage over everything else.
Yeah I tried that but it got a few choices wrong. Actually, who killed the final boss and what happened to Alistair were completely wrong, and I'd consider those a big deal![]()
