Leilana and Cassandra have South AFrican accents.

Leliana is French. Pretty sure Cassandra's accent is, as well.

If Leliana - to you - has an English accent in DA:I ... then I really want to hear what's a French accent. She has the exact same accent in DA:I as the one she had in DAO, not to mention of course the exact same voice actress. She's only different writing-wise, but other than that she's almost identical (saying "almost" because she's harsher in Inquisition certainly, but it's usually situational; when circumstances demand it, in her book anyway).

Well, I've only put an hour in the game so far and only heard a few lines from her. I thought I could pick up her pitch going up and down as opposed to a more flat and nasal tone the French accent gets. I might have to play more and hear more of her lines, but it definitively did not sound French to me so far.

I am not sure how Cassandra sounds South African. She definitively has some kind of a forced French accent. And I should know, I am French. There is nothing more annoying than people thinking they can fake a better accent than mine. I really get annoyed by her performance, it's like hearing myself talk and the lisp she adds in the performance doesn't help. 😛

Anyone have the scene where you bring together all the members of the Inqusition (that like you) and get half drunk resulting in Cullen losing all his clothes and streaking back to the barracks? You can also navigate the conversation, thought that was a nice touch. More than midway in. Think Varric triggers it.

Yeah, I think Cassandra's is a forced, or well, non-native French accent. Leliana, I believe, is voiced by a native French speaker. At least, it's much better than Cassandra's

yeah. You can also do this sort of thing with Iron Bull--continue drinking or not, keep the scene going. I'm not sure if this event triggers the romance scene--I haven't gotten it, but I've seen a clip of male-on-Iron Bull after-party action. It's hilarious.

The thing with accents is that some pickup a little bit or even a lot of the accent of their teacher. And it seems that those who learn another language at a child, often have more natural accents of where ever they learned the 2nd language.

I had a look, the voice actor for Cassandra is from England so it's probably some forced accent that doesn't sound like anything.

By the way, the voice actor for sera looks exactly like her character. Let's hope she isn't as annoying

Yes. Its pretty late in the game, after Wicked Eyes and Wicked Hearts.

I'd offer a warning. Don't let your Origin cloud storage go over limit. It can and will screw with your local save games. I get to replay about 4 to 5 hours of game play because a full cloud overwrote my local saves. Including the somewhat tedious Wicked Eyes quest.

I hate cloud saves actually. My internet went off yesterday, and i played several hours offline. I hope these dont get overwritten by the cloud saves.

How are you guys finding stability?..Personally very good in general only had two CTD in about 40 hours of playing,no freezes at all.
I'm using Sapphire 280x OC card with most settings on ultra,latest omega drivers 14.12 and DX11 mode,CPU overclocked ie 2500k@4.4GHz.

After the patch, I have not had any crashes. After the 2nd patch, and Nvidia driver update, I have not had any of the lag moments in Skyhold.

The only thing that still happens is sometimes foliage might flicker, which a reload fixes, but sometimes it might take multiple reloads (it's random on restarting the game).

Interesting,not encountered any foliage issues personally,anyway I'm sure next set of drivers and patches will make the game better for most users.


Patch two makes the game much more stable but still a few bug issues,they really should of done more bug testing etc..
Still quite a few angry gamers out there,only have to go to the forums to see the bug list thread and issues people are having.

Guess we are the lucky ones that can play and have a stable gaming experience.
I did report the bugs I have found via the bug thread at the Bioware forums,anything to help them out.

I had one CTD in the first few hours and have yet to see any stability issues since. I am about 90 hours in.

I haven't seen any graphical issues either, but it seems those tend to be SLI related and I am running on a single 970.

Weird since you go to the forums and you see all those guys with major crashing issues or can't play the game,sort of feel sorry for Bioware since they are in a no-win situation.

One thing they have overlooked is a permanent storage chest,I really wish I had that in this game,you either carry the good loot with you(especially if its higher level then you) or end up selling it.

Cassandra's accent is Romanian IMO. As someone else pointed out, probably forced.

I had a lot of screen tearing and glitches initially, and a couple of crashes, but recently I have had none of that. I get an occasional glitch, where a character materializes in mid air or something, but not a big deal. I have an AMD card, but an playing DX11, since mantle did not increase performance at all, and seemed buggier. I havent tried it since the patches though.

I'm guessing the foliage flicker is related to SLI.

I can count on 1 hand how many CTDs I've had in about 90 hours, but when they happen, it tends to be at the worse possible time. Last night, I was fighting the lvl23 dragon in du Lion. Had him down about half way, and the game CTDs. 😡

I've also had some strangeness happen too; prior to that CTD above, I'd crafted a new 2H sword and used most of my dragon bone in it. Along with a superb rune. Sword was gone after the CTD, along with the rune and , the grip and pommel mods. I had to battle 2 more dragons to get enough dragon bone to make another. That pissed me off more than the crash.

Before the patch (talking about the "big" one, not the day-one patch) I had the time to have one full playthrough (97 hours) and just more than half of another (about 60 hours). Counting those two pre-patch games together I clearly recall 4 CTDs and one screen freeze. I was expecting bugs (and crashes) with such a big game anyway.

After the patch continuing my second (re-done from start) playthrough; now at 35 hours, no crashes, no freezes (so far). Same for multiplayer (had one crash pre-patch, none so far after the patch). Not sure if the patch actually helped with stability, maybe it's just coincidence but I doubt it (it probably did help).

Couple CTD experiences. 2/3 we're going into the war room, the 3rd was just a random crash while playing. That's in about 100 hours, so not too bad....

Game wasn't perfect, but i enjoyed it enough that I'm ready to ask, is there any DLC coming? DLC with storyline, not multiplayer only stuff.

I am playing with 360 controller, the game was saddly made for it. Will they ever fix kbmouse controls? What other games work well with 360 pad?
