You guys, the price is decent, don't scare new memeber away.
I think it's pretty obvious that he is advertising. He calls it a "top notch gaming board" and then posts a link to the manufacturer's website. That price is outrageous for a Socket A board too.

i put this board in my server (4 ide and 4 sata) solid board with no problems as of yet.

I paid like 115 shipped for it so 84 isnt a bad deal

would anyone happen to be running this board with a PCI SCSI card also?

This board has EXACTLY what I need w/ IDE and SATA but would also like to add SCSI for my OS drive and could see a problem arrising with conflicts.

Thanks in Advance!
BuZZ

What is your guys problem?

A link to the manufacturer site is because that is who is selling it for 84.99....

Tom's Hardware rated a solid performer...

You all need to chill....

Unproven, probably unreliable and slow, ALI storage controller powering the extra 2 SATA and 2 PATA ports. PCI-bound LAN. Horrible ATX connector placement. Bleh.

The VT8237 southbridge actually supports four SATA ports, the last two just require a special PHY chip. Why not implement ALL chipset-level features available, and let the user add PCI-bound features as he sees fit?

Time to Ban 3....2....1...
It is jerks like you that make people skiddish about posting what they consider deals. There was nothing shady about the post, it went directly to the page with the motherboard for sale with no referral data.
Why are so many people so quick to call someone out??
You all should be ashamed of yourselves and should be welcoming a new forum and hot deals member, not calling for a ban for no reason.
Thank you.

You're getting banned? Cool!

Idiot.

BTW, Soyo is exiting the Motherboard business. I'm not sure what kind of tech support you can expect in the future.

If SallyGirl isn't working for Soyo, all he/she has to do is say that. If he/she is, then this thread is a violation of the rules. This forum will be swamped with self-advertising if the rules aren't followed.

Personally, I think that it was the blow-up-doll blonde icon that set everybody off. 🙂
