draft dodgers, future canadian citizens, antiwar types

this will offend most modern americans and appall some weak hearted but with the recent dealings in the middle east i thought i'd speak my mind about my feelings on war and vietnam.
i welcome any war with any amount of countries because I tire of the anti american resentment nowadays.
ya some would move to canada if america got in another war but i see that as a disgrace, i'd be the one coming right after them with a bazooka. what ever happened to honor or duty these days? even if i disagreed with my nations war i would never turn my back on my nation. and thats a 21 year old youth talking not some scared 50 year old draft dodger who did so when he was my age because he values his life more than his freedom.

i seriously can't respect people who disagree with my above statements and its not a personal hate thing i just cant comprehend someone with so little character.

I want people to see this sig I saw on someones name on anandtech the other day that struck a chord with me about modern america (i actually dislike how america is today, including our patriotic anti war wanna be canadians...
I wish those people would just leave to canada now so they'd stop b*tching.

You're a fvcking moron. You advocate "war with any amount of countries" becuase you disagree with people. You say you want to hunt down those you you disagree with, and shoot them with a bazooka. You say you have no repsect for those that don't share your opinion.

Then you try and back that up with a quote from Ghandi?

Pass me one of those bad boys and turn up the volume 🙂

Too bad we don't have PIP 😉

Why do people think we'd just allow any number of draft dodgers to come into Canada? We don't want them either. Contrary to popular wisdom, "liberal" does not equal "pussy".

looks like the whole crowd came out for this one..

just saying how i feel.. im surprised theres not more who feel the same way but i guess the whole hippy draft dodging thing did catch aflame with alot of the spoiled rich suburban white college kids who knew nothing about life.

My quote again

The Road to Violence:

Wealth without work (lazy ass americans who get something for very little, many sports stars here..)
Pleasure without conscience (sex and all your other sins without any conscious objections that maybe it MIGHT be wrong to desecrate the beauty of a womans body whether you have any spiritual beliefs or not)
Knowledge without character (very intelligent book smart people with no basis of being a person of principle or character much like most college professors these days)
Commerce without morality (enron anyone?)
Science without humanity (cloning a human being??? abortion)
Worship without sacrifice (supposed belief in god without any true giving of yourself to others or the lord)
Politics without principle (american politics, bill clintonism 101)

Mahatma Gandhi

I suppose you know SOOO much more because you're an poor, uneducated minority from the ghetto?

I still don't see why you think that ghandi quote justifies violence to wards those you disagree with. Can you explain where, inthat quote, it says "If I don't agree with you, I can shoot you with a bazooka"?

Even worse than draft dodgers are people who get powerful relatives to get them into the national guard, and then don't even do much of that.

Dodging is at least an anti-war statement. I wouldn't do it, I would still serve my country if called. But people who think they're so important that they don't have to serve with the rest of America make me sick. "Don't worry son, we'll put you in the guard, so you can't get hurt."

i was joking about the bazooka boys

thats an expression of how i feel

im not uneducated, i'm college educated, i have a AAS in computer networking and am currently at a university getting my MIS. I come from a fairly wealthy family considering the area I'm from.

Although I consider myself to be a zealous patriot, I do not believe in blindly following my government down every dark road it decides to travel just because it tells me it is the right thing to do.

I love my country, but I merely tolerate the government that administers it.

so you're a "spoiled rich suburban white college kid who knows nothing about life", then?

I've got an idea, shut up now before you make yourself look like even more idiotic.

ok you can no longer post in my thread if you have such insight notfred.

your not seeing what im saying. i am much like most of your feeble minded anti war types socially and economically but i see things differently, much because i realize those easily impressionable kids of the 60s fell into what was a cool social revolution. but i know the difference between right and wrong and you should always stand behind your nation that you supposedly pledge alliegence through the darkest times and only those should reap the benefits of living here.

Ah, so you're different than all the other white upp class college kids, just because you say so.

You advocate the position of "fall in line and do what the government says, or else".

Now, can you give me a brief synopsis of why Ghandi is famous? I don't think you know the story.

I'm differnt otherwise all these people wouldnt be objecting to me.
These days my ideas are more the radical fringe than the norm. The norm has become "dont worry about loyalty to anything but yourself because you are a god". Sorry but I dont like the whole social or cultural situation in america (I refuse to make man my god, much like germans did with hitler or russians did with stalin, and much like americans do with britney spears or whoever they choose to put their faith in besides god and unquestionably always will be let down).

Its not just the government of today I believe in falling in line with, this nation was very moral and great at one time and I believe it can be put back but I won't turn my back on my president (no matter who it may be after the election is over) and won't run and hide because I am dissatisfied with who is president or what decisions he makes.

Our elected government is ours and we should stand behind our represenatives.. I for one do not like most politicians but I am steadfast in being an American first.

I would fight and die under clinton or bush, but I would do it for america. get it?

Care to show some facts to back up your assumptions ?

Where you do get this stuff from ?

OK, so your problems is with people who run and hide, not with people who don't beleive in violence? So then, if someone dodges the draft, but marches on Washington to protest, instead of going to Canada, then that's ok with you?

Our elected government is ours and we should stand behind our represenatives.. I for one do not like most politicians but I am steadfast in being an American first.

You've got it backwards. Our representatives should stand behind US. That's thier job, to represent us. Hence the title "representative".

I would fight and die under clinton or bush, but I would do it for america. get it?

So if Bill Clinton or George Bush told you to go to war against Florida, for the good of America, you'd do it? I mean, if the president told you to do it, it has to be good for the country, right?

ok no ones feeling any of this.. thats ok. i put my blind faith in God and #2 is my nation.. if i had a family it would become #2 and nation would be #3 but it might be closer to a tie because you know a village raises a child yada yada.

where do i get this? my own mind, thinking things over the years growing up, watch mtv turn into a sick decaying artifact of what america is becoming.. seeing women put their careers far before marriage and children (if ever).. watching some of my own peers being drawn in and brainwashed to thinking that its ok to base your life on the superficial.

I hoped more would enjoy my thoughts but if not, dont bother posting hate of them.
