What the heck does it do. i understand its some type of activity log, but i dont need those. Does it improve stability/performace/security? if not (on a standalone workstation which noone but myself have access to) how to disable it since it creates a 30mb file i dont really need. or do i?

your thoughts?

I guess it basically generates a report about any errors during a system crash, and sends the info to MS (not entirely sure). The way to disable it, is to go into your registry, in HKLM\software\microsoft\windowsNT\currentVersion and delete the aedebug tree.

You really shouldn't disable it. It helps when you need debuggin information on a program that just crashed. Some software manufacturers will almost require you to forward the Watson error report to help them find out what the problem is.

EDIT: Spelling/Grammer. Damn, I need more coffee. :D

Ah, I see, thanks for the heads up Shadow. Then it would probably be best to leave Watson running if you're a beta tester, or are having problems with crashing and want to get in touch with tech support for those programs.
