I think today was a freebie from Dr Pepper.

The site is unavailable and the toll free number is buzzzzy.

EDIT: I got my coupon today. See latest post below.

Wow, people stressing over a free soda that you have to register for just to be able to get it? Is the finacial crisis THAT bad for some people? I love Dr. Pepper and all but soda is still pretty cheap where I live.

Registering is free... what's the loss here? And the registration is just an attempt to control people getting a bunch of free coupons.

The only problem is they don't verify the email address so you can just enter any random email and still get the coupon... 😉

Not quite. The coupon is mailed to you in the next month or so. Once you register your email, you get another screen that asks for name and address. Once that page is filed out you get the thank you page. And you do not get another attempt at using the same email twice.

They said they would buy everyone in America a Dr. Pepper. Not make a Dr. Pepper available to everyone in America. I expect 300 million Dr. Pepper's to be distributed across the country.

I got my coupon in the mail today.

They made sure you cannot photocopy the coupon as it is watermarked and on specially marked paper (like check paper).

I guess they learned what happened to Sierra Mist.
