I wouldn't say it tastes almost exactly like Dr. Pepper.
I will say that it doesn't have QUITE the tang that most diet drinks have. I'd prefer the solution Dr. Pepper choose. Instead of trying to hit 0 calories, just aim for a significantly lower number that will help you keep the taste intact. Even if they cut the calories by half or a little bit more then I think that would be huge.
I don't think anyone hits 0 calories.
DP10 is added to my soda collection. I had switched from drinking regular Coke to Caffeine-Free Coke exclusively. It tastes just like regular Coke but still has 140c per can. My wife loves DP10 as well and she had switched to drinking Coke Zero. I only drink one a night as kind of a treat. If they had Caffeine-Free Dr. Pepper 10 then I would be in heaven.
its nasty. too thick and i swear it has less carbonation

I must be weird because I always thought Diet Dr Pepper was the closest of all diet drinks to taste like their full sugar counterparts.
I just wish soda makers would use sucralose instead of aspertame to sweeten their diet sodas. I much prefer the taste of sucralose. There are some knock-off soda brands that do (Sodastream uses Splenda), but none of the big-name ones do.
OMG no! Diet Dr. Pepper isn't bad, but it's nowhere near the yumminess that is regular Dr. Pepper. Dr. Pepper 10 tastes a bit less thick or syrupy to me compared to regular Dr. Pepper (I like this very much actually), and the flavor is much, much improved over Diet IMO.
Just about every "diet" drink I can think of is 0 calories. Diet Coke, Diet Pepsi, etc, etc. Then there's Coke Zero and Pepsi Max which are supposed to be "the same great flavor of x with none of the calories" but they taste almost exactly like their diet versions.
