yeah i still enjoy it. i'm guessing since they decided to end it in the middle of the broadcast season the series finale will be a standard season finale.

Maybe. I think I read before this season that they sort of knew it'd be ending, since Hugh Laurie's contract was up. They basically said they'd keep doing it if he wants to, and if not, it ends. They just announced it now, but the decision may have actually been made a while ago.

There's no ridiculous story arc this year compared to the past 2-3 seasons w/ the rehab, Cuddy, etc. I'm guessing fans don't want to see House back in jail or rehab, so the finale might be as uneventful as him quitting.

Yea, Foreman/Chase/Cameron was easily my favorite team. When Cameron 'left' after Chase's incident with that African dictator I thought she was coming back, I was wrong :(

I also loved House's old flame, Stacy. I wish she'd been in more episodes.

That's sad news as I really liked their cast, well up to the the Kutner, thirteen, taub era. After the Bus finale I started to lose track of what was going on. Around the time that thirteen left I was less interested in following.

House is still one of my favorite shows on TV. It'll be a shame to see it go. The larger plot has gotten a little more ridiculous, but the individual episodes are still really good. It's probably better to give it a proper ending now, though, with House, Chase and Foreman all still together, and Wilson still around. The replacement teams were never as good as the first, with maybe the exception of Thirteen and Taub.

So... because Foreman, from the original team of three, is on the replacement team and, because the other two are still there and participating, and the two replacements are better than them anyway, it sounds like a ringing endorsement and an improvement.

Sad, but cool at the same time. Now Hugh Laurie can do other, more funny stuff.

I stopped watching somewhere around early season 7. I don't think it could last much longer and rather have it go out now then struggle for another 4 years or whatever.

A couple years back it was obvious they ran out of story to tell, and the show got boring and stupid premise IMO.

They knew this would be the last season when they ended season 7. There was a lot of talk among the writers on how the show had pretty much run its course and to drag it into season 9 would just harm the show . Better to go out on top than have it turn into something nobody wants to watch.

You obviously haven't watched the show in the last year. No surprise, too, that you felt commenting on something you know nothing about.

Lisa and the show couldn't agree on contract terms last Spring, so the Producers announced back then that the show would only be on one more season and would be ended. It has about 4 or so episodes left and that's it for House. I, for one, will miss it.

It's only on episode 11 and season 8 is supposed to be 22 episodes...

Can't wait for the series finale. All good things must come to an end unfortunately.

She hasn't been on the show at all this season.
(Unless "a couple of weeks" = a $10 gallon of gas, then we just use the mcowen conversion.)

what has been the storyline after they hooked up a couple seasons ago? Did they split again for some reason? I heard he got arrested, and sent away too.

I stopped watching cause the formula never changed. I usually follow through with shows but this one I just couldn't do it anymore.

They dated, then Cuddy couldn't handle him as her lover & subordinate. House became even more manipulative of that complex roles too.

So Cuddy broke up, started seeing some guy. House was seemingly okay for awhile, then he flipped and drove his car INTO Cuddy's home, breaking the whole wall, and injuring Cuddy, her BF, and friends.

House got sent to jail, then got out on parole because of his exceptional medical forensic skills.

Nobody was injured actually. They were not in the room.
