So the Nvidia rep responded back more info:

"I am sorry for the inconvenience. A fix will not make it in time for the next driver so it will likely be included as part of the following driver. If a fix is ready and validated much sooner I will push for a hotfix driver to get it out to everyone as soon as possible."

"It varies by users configurations/drivers. If you see it on your system, swapping it for another 1080 card would give you the same DPC numbers. Our drivers are within Microsoft Windows specification for DPC but we are able to reduce it which should address this issue for users.

So 2 drivers?...... pls a hotfix... 2 drivers is in 2 months? :/

No. Much sooner. But until the solution has been validated I cannot provide an exact ETA."

Well I ended up sending my card back this morning. I'm not taking any chances at these prices. If they end up fixing it down the road I'll consider buying again but for now my Fury X with no latency issues will do just fine.

I'll try these tonight and see how it goes with my 1070.

I did a impulse buy yesterday on the BestBuy Dell S2716DGR deal. Black Friday in July special for $449.99 as I had early access being a Elite Plus member. Think the deal goes live tomorrow?

Been looking for a 1440p 144Hz for a while now. Didn't really want to commit to G-Sync but for the sale price it's little to no tariff compared to alternative offerings.

Looks like mixed results so far. Some people say it work while others are having the same issues. Maybe they'll get it right in another hotfix.

Although I haven't done extensive testing yet it looks to have eliminated the nasty gremlin from my rig. Only monitored latency for around 20 minutes or so at idle gpu clocks as that is where I'd get the really nasty spikes in latency.

My new monitor came a day early so figure setting it up will be funner than watching latency monitor :)

If the gremlin reappears I'll update my post.

Thanks for the update. After checking other sources and hearing mostly positive feedback so far I ended up ordering a Geforce 1060 (ITX style EVGA unit) for my HTPC. The power consumption to performance in this form factor is insane. I'll also report back if I have any DPC latency issue.

I did the paranoid driver wipe just in case.

Disabled gpu in device manager
Rebooted DDU in safe mode
Didn't wipe yet
Deleted the C: \NVIDIA folder
Deleted the C: \Program Files\NVIDIA Corporation
Deleted the C: \Program Files (x86) \NVIDIA Corporation
Empty trash can
DDU clean and reboot option.
Installed the drivers using advanced option selecting clean install. Just loaded everything to see how it works.

I read that it's the best way to eliminate Nvidia gremlins.

Off to test out this G-Sync hype!

Oooh, I just run DDU in safe mode normally. The above steps should be stickied somewhere!

Oh boy, I tested with Latency Mon instead of DPC Latency checker and apparently my system was suffering from high latency too. I installed the hotfix driver and it mostly fixes the problem but not entirely. What's weird is my brother's PC (OG Titan) has higher latency than even my computer.

Yeah Nvidia hasn't fixed this yet 100%. It's still an issue for many issues but given the improvements they've already made I'm more confident they'll fix it in a future driver update. Funny how no reviewers caught this.

I just don't understand why my Bros OG Titan is affected, I think everyone with nvidia cards needs to be checking this now
