Though my stats posting are errr .......somewhat irregular 😉 they are going to be missing for a while longer than usual.

On Sunday night after having graphical corruption in Guild Wars (again) I tried to reboot my main PC & it failed to at the blue windows 'starting' screen , BSOD 'Fatal system error' & then it powers down the HDDs! :Q great! 🙁.
So far I've eliminated the PSU & it's probably not the HDDs as they stay powered up in DOS & the Bios & I've been able to see the folders in a DOS app.
Memtest86+ was showing some errors & I'm in the process of testing different RAM sticks & the mbrd, stick 1 in No1 channel has passed so far.

My stats template & links are on that machine so hence currently no stats, I am hopefully that I can pull off the relevant data if need be by plugging the HDD from that rig into this one when time & testing allows.

Oh also my main PC is a Q6600 @3GHz which was doing the bulk of my output for SETI (3 cores) & nearly all for DPAD (1 core), I've got this rig doing SETI 24/7 instead but it's just a Sempron 3100 @2.5GHz so it won't even do a 1/4 of my quads output!😛.
 
Well both RAM sticks have passed memtest in channel 1, so far 1 has failed in channel 2 I'm guessing the other one will too (though I'm testing to be sure).[edit] no it didn't! wth!?😕 retesting both sticks in channel 1.
Looks like the mbrd's gone bad on channel 2 🙁. What a PITA though ,means I gotta re-install windows+ programs all over again!, man I only did that 1 yr ago!😛.

I'm going to RMA the mbrd but I can't be without my rig for weeks, so I'm just going to use this opportunity to buy a better mbrd with 45nm quad support 😀. Hopefully one that'll overclock better too.In the meantime I'll see if I can fix windows on it & hobble along on 1 RAM channel.

Anyone In the UK or Europe going to want buy my RMAed mbrd?

Main rig back up in 'limp home' mode ,running just 1 RAM stick.
So I'll able to do stats again 🙂 , probably tomorrow.

Hmm, rereading my previous post I'd forgotten that 1 stick failed in channel 2! ,well I can test with more well known progs (to me) now I can get into windows!.
