I have the same prob with ZoneAlarmPro. I have to shut it down completly in order to send my results. Only when u get that little chechbox ("results have been successfully send") your results were sent.

I might have an idea... hmmmmm

Do you by any chance know if muon1.exe is using internal code or an external program to ftp results to the server ??? If it is using an external program to send the results, then the solution might be to allow muon1.exe to use other programs to access the internet. It will be a while before I have a result file large enough to send, but then I will try.

If you are going to send soon, then maybe you will have a go at it ???
Just in case you don't know how:
- ZoneAlarm -> program control -> "Programs" tab
- Right click "muon1.exe" -> options
- Check "This program may use other programs to access the internet"

🙂

Hehe ... 😀 ... thx for the hint man ... but trust me ... it just won't work for me.

I spend over an hour trying to configure ZP with muon1.exe It's using its own, internal FTP console (that's what u see while sending). Stephen (the guy who wrote DPAD) is aware of the problem. That's why he introduced the "passive FTP mode" which helped some guys, but not all.

If I use ZP with muon1.exe, I always get to the same point, which is the ASCII transfer of my results.txt file. I just can't transfer the file. Everything before that is fine. Testing, sample send and all that stuff that is going on in that ftp console ...

You know, it's not a big deal for me to shut down ZP for a sec. It's just that I don't get why!

Well...OK.... it was worth a try.... 🙂

I really hate shutting down my firewall.... maybe I'm just paranoid !!! 😉
