DPAD on a HT cruncher...

ive read the tutorial and in pm with dan he confirmed that all i needed to do was change the "threads" option in config.txt to 2 to make use of hyperthreaing....so my question is as follows: i changed the "threads" to 2 but yet i only see one instance in task manager of muon1.exe running using 100% of the cpu. why would there not be showing 2 instances of the muon project both using 50% of the cpu? for example i run seti as well and using seti driver i set my amount of processes to 2 and in task manager i see 2 of the command line client running, yet for DPAD im not seeing that. i know this may sound like a noob question but i wanna make sure that i am indeed doing this correctly and maximizing hyperthreading on my cpu.

oh ok, i see now. its just using 100% of the entire cpu and splitting it behind the scenes rather than doing like seti and actually running 2 instances of the client. my appologies for answering my own question but its different than seti which has been the only DC project ive ever really been involved in.

Do you notice any signifigant gains by using hyperthreading and running dual-process?

Yes. With HT my P4 does about 300.000 and without about 220.000.

Same here. Got from around 220 to 260 mpts/s (or whatver that was )

im in the same boat, noticable increase with 2 threads enabled
