My GF wants to go see this show while we are down in FL this coming May. Was wondering how good it is and if it is worth the $100+ tickets. Has anyone seen this particular one at Disney?

Unless you have children, I'd rather go out to a nice restaurant.

Hell, I'd skip Disney altogether if you don't have children.

I disagree. The show is called La Nouba and worth every penny. Call and try to get seats in the front row of the second tier. You will pay half as much as the people in the front and part of the show will take place in the aisle right in front of you. You never want to sit in the front at any Cirque performance because there will always be a large portion of the show up in the air and your neck will hurt. I have seen many Cirque shows and this is probably one of the top three available. My wife and I enjoyed the entire performance.

Also, if you are going to a Disney park and plan to eat at a nicer restaurant, make sure to call Disney Dining and make your reservation now. The Site allearsnet.com and allears.net are invaluable references for a Disney Visit. Hope you have a great time!

I've heard good things about most Cirque du Soleil shows, there's a La Nouba magnet on our fridge so that means my family must've liked it, never saw it myself though. But if you ever make your way up to NYC, pass on Wintuk, god that show was bad. I guess carrying the Cirque du Soleil name doesn't automatically make it worth seeing.

I've seen it a couple times and in my opinion, it is worth the money.

I've seen La Nouba, Alegria. and Varekai. To say the least, La Nouba IMO is subpar compared to the other two (which were performed on their travelling shows in a tent, really nice). But if you haven't seen any other Cirque du Soleil shows, this might give you a slight urge to go see the others.

While the others were more about gymnastics and more extreme, La Nouba was more about tricks on stuff like BMX bikes and rolling around on a wheel.

I have family that works at Disney and some that also have year passes. One is into shows - I will pose the question and try to get a response for you.

Update:

Worth it for one time only. Not as a repeat at that cost.

I hear it's great. I've had a few friends that saw it and loved it. I never saw it myself. I'd like to go back down there at some point (preferably not in August) and see it for myself. If you end up going, let us know!

Thanks for the advice. I've been to Disney many times, so I do know the dining pretty well, I just haven't seen this show. I'll see if I can score some front row, second tier seats. :D

The wife and I saw La Nouba. I thought she was crazy for spending that much money on a show but I have to say it was the most entertaining show I have ever seen. My hands and throat hurt from clapping and cheering so much. I haven't seen any of the other cirque shows but if this is one of the lower ones on the quality scale as some have mentioned here I can't wait to see some of the other ones. We sat on the aisle of the section next to the center section and about 4 rows up from front row. They were excellent seats. No neck strain and you were at the perfect level to see everything.
