Downloads keep freezing on networked computer

I networked my two computers at home using a router. Computer A (which has a D-Link DFE-530TX+ NIC) is working fine. Computer B (with a D-Link DFE-530TX Rev. A1 NIC), on the other hand, is having problems. Everytime I try to download a file off the net, the download freezes at various stages of completion.

The cable connecting Computer B to the router was made for me by a friend. I thought it might be the cable that was defective so I tried transferring an 800MB file from computer A to B. No problems.

Any ideas as to what the problem could be?

Go to DSL Reports LINK and check out the Line Packet Loss Testing tool. It sounds like you're dropping packets for some reason.

Yea, there's no useful info.

Do a Tweak Test. I apologize this is what I should have told you to do.
